Postponement
of India 2004: World Philatelic Exhibition
This is for the information of all concerned that India
2004: World Philatelic Exhibition proposed to be held in
the year 2004 has since been postponed. Fresh dates will
be notified separately.
Waiving of
Service Charges on Philatelic Deposit Scheme
It has now been
decided to waive
Service charges of Rs. 10/- being
presently levied, on
Philatelic Deposit
Account Scheme with effect from the dispatches of stamps
and other items released on
or after 1st August
2003.
India Post to
undertake pilot project for computerisation of Maldives Post
Indiapost and TCIL team will undertake a pilot
project for computerisation of Postal Operations at
three
Post Offices and Mail Centres, located at
Malé. Software
for this project will be developed by
Centre
For Postal Technology and Excellence at Postal
Training Centre, Mysore.
The
project involves computerisation of Point of
Sale operations, electronic tracking,
development
of an integrated financial system and establishment
of Data Centre. The work on
this
project will start during the last week of May 2003.
