The services of suitable officers are required to fill up the vacancies in the officer’s cadre in Army Postal Service, Base Circle of the Department of Posts. These posts are to be filled up from amongst officers of IPO/ASPO having at least three years regular service. The maximum age limit shall not exceed forty five years on the date of commissioning after completing the selection process and medical examination etc
2 Placement in the officer’s cadre in APS does not entitle them for being considered for civil promotion in PS Group B ahead of their seniors. Promotion to PS Group B will be considered strictly as per Recruitment Rules in PS Group B. Service in APS will not count as regular service in PS Group B. Civil promotion will be as per Recruitment Rules. Terms and Conditions for service in APS will be as per Army instructions 29/85. Details of service in APS on deputation are available in http://www.indiapost.gov.in.
3 The applications of eligible and willing officers alongwith their vigilance clearance may be forwarded for consideration in the Department within 15 days of this circular. Service particulars/Biodata of the officer must be verified by the sponsoring authority, while forwarding the application. The applications forwarded will not be allowed to be withdrawn at a later stage. A wide publicity may be given to this circular.
