In all 17 case decision the applicant not entitle to access the information under section 8 of the RTI Act.

1.       All designated Central Public Information Officers (CPIOs) / Central Assistant Public Information Officers (CAPIOs)/Heads of Postal field formations of the Department of Posts have been suitably instructed through holding workshop, imparting training & by issuing necessary guidelines/instructions to display all important orders/instruction circulars/ events etc. on the website of the Department and update to make them more useful and accurate.

2.      List of CPIOs/CAPIOs placed on the website of the Department,

3.      Met the obligations listed in Section 4(1) of the Act by preparing a document containing 17 manuals which are also available on the website of the Department;

4.      Guidelines have been issued to augment these manuals;

1.        Postal field formation at Divisional and Circle levels have been instructed to prepare similar manuals for their respective units;

2.        The Government servants deployed in field formation coming into contact with Public have been sensitized on disposal of references on RTI Act by issuing simple literature etc.

Suitable suggestions for reforms, including those required for development, improvement, modernization, reform for the amendment of the Act or other legislation or common law or any other matter relevant for operationalisation the Right to access the information.

1.      If the requestor has asked information related to All India basis in a single request to any CPIO, it may kindly clarified, how correct and accurate information can be collected from all Postal Circle offices in the country  to enable to provide appropriate reply to the requestor.    

2.      Creation of Additional posts at various levels for exclusive purpose of handling RTI cases

3.      Provision of additional infrastructure to nodal offices in the form of furniture, computers internet connection etc.

4.      Development and Implementation of suitable software for processing RTI cases.
